Social Media Strategy
HOW ARE YOU GOING TO BRING PEOPLE TO YOUR WEBSITE AND TO YOUR BUSINESS?
SOCIAL MEDIA IS A POWERFUL TOOL FOR BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS...
IF YOU DO IT RIGHT.
Facebook- Personal, Business, Groups
Facebook has a lot of functions that make it beneficial for businesses. In addition to using your personal Facebook page to promote your products and services, you should also capitalize on the Facebook Business Pages and Facebook Groups for your business. Additionally, if you have any local events on the horizon, you want to use Facebook Events to promote those.
When we work with you, we create and optimize all the functions of Facebook that we think will work best for your business. We will clean up your personal Facebook Page, build you a Facebook Business Page and start a Facebook group for you. Then we will help grow those organically so that you have a loyal following.
Facebook- Posting & Management
Once we've built the pages themselves, now the job becomes management. In order to stay top of mind in your customers and networks, you need to post with some regularity. If you post too often or the posts don't resonate with your audience then they are likely to stop following you. You'll need to be careful to manage this balancing act.
One of the services we provide is full post creation, post management and social media management as a whole. We will design, write, and post all your social media posts for your business. We will engage your community and networks to grow the followings and interact with people as the comment and message. This way you can focus on your business and we will do the rest.
Facebook- Messaging
In addition to the functions Facebook offers for businesses, Facebook Messenger also is a practical tool for the small business looking to grow. It allows for instant communication with potential customers as well as payment methods for bootstrapped businesses.
Google - My Business & Maps
Google My Business is a huge asset for businesses owners. Most people, when looking for a product, service, or business, will use Google to find it. If you are not listed on Google My Business and on Google Maps, then you are missing out on a significant amount of potential customers.
Additionally, as Google My Business is part of the Google Enterprise, when your website is connected to your Google My Business listing, it has a positive imp
act on your SEO. This also allows people to leave you reviews furthering your business's credibility in your community. Google My Business is a huge powerhouse for marketing your small business and should be an automatic.
Google+ - Posting & Management
Google+ is a social media platform that doesn't get a lot of conversation about it. That said, since it is owned by the Google Enterprise, it is important to also include posting and regular maintenance of your Google+ page as a part of your marketing strategy.
We do not expend a significant amount of time or resources on posting here but ensure to have something consistent for visibility purposes.
LinkedIn- Personal & Business
For the B2B (Business to business) community, LinkedIn is the most powerful tool online. For all the B2C (Business to consumer) businesses, LinkedIn is still a huge asset and should be one of the largest portions of your marketing focus.
LinkedIn marketing allows you to filter your searches by location, position, company, industry etc. There is no reason to skip out on this type of information and sectoring. If you want to successfully grow your business, no matter your industry, LinkedIn is going to be a game changer for you.
To begin, we put together a polished and concise profile page for you and your business. This improves your credibility and trustworthiness. Then we work on growing your audience (LinkedIn Connections) because that is the group that will see your articles and posts. Lastly we cultivate and groom your audience to improve your business's reach.
LinkedIn- Articles & Post Management
In addition to having a clean profile and a growing audience, your business needs to be constantly in front of the right audience. Luckily LinkedIn allows you to build your audience of whomever you want. You want all holistic healers? Great. Do that.
Then you curate posts and articles that your specific audience will want to read and see regularly. This is easier than with Facebook because you can limit your population on business related specifics.
When we work with clients, we use the customer profile we made during the Frameworks portion to map out exactly who we want to target and then what posts and articles to write for that audience.
LinkedIn Messaging
The other significant tool that LinkedIn brings to the table is the messaging ability. Even if someone is not your contact, you can invite them with a custom message.
One of the services we provide for small businesses who want to grow their marketing is the targeted invitation and messaging. We reach out to exactly who you want to do business with and write them a message that ignites their interest. Then we use our posting and article strategy to continue nurturing that person until we ask to do business with them.
Instagram- Personal, Business, & Posts
Instagram is especially powerful for the visual businesses. While its difficult to show a service using Instagram, if you have products, before and after photos, and "congratulations to our newest homeowner" videos Instagram is an absolute must for your business.
IG allows you to build out a gallery for people to see while also tagging people or keywords that are relevant to your industry. If you're a restaurant, Instagram is your money maker. Post an incredible photo of your dishes every day at 10:30, 11:00 and 11:30 and then again for your dinner rush and those on Instagram will be on their way to you.
When we work with our marketing consulting clients, we advise them to have a personal and business Instagram as separate accounts. This way they can post about themselves 80% of the time on their own and throw in 20% promotionals for their business and still have a separate stand-alone business account that is more professional.
Instagram- Follower Management
Building followers on Instagram can be challenging. You have the option of buying followers or paying for likes but I don't recommend that. While the number is tempting, the majority of those accounts are not real people and would never actually become a customer for your business.
Instead, I recommend a more organic and much slower building of followers by producing consistent high-quality content and managing the platform the way it was designed. It will take significantly longer but the results will be actual paying customers who know and support your business.
Twitter- Personal, Business, Posts
Twitter is for businesses with verbal skills what Instagram is for businesses with striking visuals. The beauty of Twitter is the ability for companies to address the community in real time. Someone posts about being hungry, and you send them an invitation to your restaurant. Someone complains about their car breaking down and you schedule an appointment for them in your shop.
Twitter is great if you have the time and ability to respond coherently. I do not recommend using a professional Twitter account for politics, personal complaints, or grudges UNLESS it fits into your business personality and the brand you want to put together.
Like with Instagram, you should have a separate personal and business account with clear boundaries between them.
Twitter- Followers & Management
Just as with Instagram, building followers on Twitter isn't easy.
Snapchat, Pinterest, & Other Platforms
Each social media platform has its own personality, and the users on them are as diverse as the internet itself. If you want to succeed at digital marketing for your business, you need to find and capitalize on the social media sites that fit best with your business.
Using your customer profile and your business personality, we work with you to select the best social media sites for digital marketing services. Then we design, create, and post on those platforms. We do the full-service social media management for businesses.
Reddit, Tumblr, & Blog Sites
Blogging is a strong marketing strategy for a few reasons. Firstly it establishes credibility. By posting significant amounts of information about a topic, it shows you truly know and understand the topic. Secondly, it boosts your SEO because the sheer volume of text and number of relevant keywords that appear in your blog. As an added bonus, if you are blogging on a site other than your website, then when you link back to your site it creates an SEO advantage called back links.
All of this to say, if you're not blogging as a marketing strategy, you should consider adding a couple to your marketing plan. Reddit and Tumblr are great places to start throwing blogs to see what people's reactions are. You can also get people to come from Reddit or Tumblr to visit your website and even become a customer.
